Samarbeidspartene i «EU Grundtvig Project: Sheherazade 1001 Stories for Adult Learning» inviterer nå til en konferanse/kurs for voksne der temaet er «historiefortelling for voksen læring». Konferansen foregår allerede 14. november i Alden Biesen i Bilzen (Belgia) og påmledingsfristen er 5. november. Her kan du lese hvordan arrangøren beskriver konferansen. Storytelling for Adult Learning is about the use of oral storytelling in non-formal and formal adult education. At the conference the project partners will present the outcomes of the Sheherazade project and offer insight into different approaches to the use of storytelling for inclusion and language learning.

Contributors at the conference will be professional storytellers, teacher trainers, community workers and adult trainers. The conference also offers three different workshops on storytelling for participants to choose from.

Alden Biesen is a castle, built by the Teutonic Knights, that is situated in the eastern part of Flanders (Belgium), near the Dutch border: 100 km east of Brussels, 12 km west of Maastricht. The nearest railway station is Bilzen (at 6 km). Nowadays it is a state cultural centre, owned by the Flemish Government.
Participation: Participation at the conference is free of charge.
Participants from abroad, arriving on the 13th will be offered accommodation in surrounding B&Bs, free of charge. Places are limited, please contact the organisers to secure your place.
The conference working language is English.

Travel arrangements: From Brussels Airport you can reach Alden Biesen by train. At the airport you can buy a ticket to Bilzen (via Leuven – change in Leuven station – and Hasselt). People arriving in Brussels South station by Eurostar or Thalys can take the train to Hasselt in Brussels South. People arriving by train from the east (via Köln and Aachen) take the train to Liège. In Liège they take the connection to Bilzen / Hasselt and get off the train in Bilzen. All participants arriving in Bilzen station will be picked up by car (car shuttle at train arrival times). Alden Biesen is close to the motorway as well (E 313 ANTWERPEN-LIEGE: exit 31).
